Supporting working parents

Introduction

The original Centre Point was established in 1982 when it was recognised that there was the need for affordable childcare in Jersey in order to support Jersey's economy by supporting the needs of working parents and their children.

Today, Centre Point remains the Island's largest childcare-providing charity (Regd. Charity No.92), supporting working parents, prioritising single working parents.

Centre Point Trust operates at three sites, the day nursery at Rope Walk, the sessional nursery (First Steps) at Le Coie and school age care group at La Pouquelaye.

The Trust is regulated by the Department for Education, Sport and Culture.

The Trust is managed by a Board of Trustees with each unit having a dedicated Team Leader and Deputy.
